5 Husband-Proof Mother’s Day Crafts

I love Mother’s Day Crafts.  Those handprints, adorable cards, memories in a tiny little craft…  But do I really have to make them myself even for a holiday celebrating me?!

5 Husband-Proof Mother's Day Crafts, so you don't have to make them!

This list has been approved by my very UN-crafty husband.

5 crafts that any husband can create (seriously, if my hubby can do it)!

1.  “I Love Mommy Because She…” Jar

What you need:

    • Jar
    • Photos
    • Construction paper
    • Markers

Directions:

    • Cut construction paper into strips
    • Place 1-4 photos in jar so images face out
    • Write with marker on the paper different reasons they love Mommy!

2.  Coupon Book

What You Need:

    • Construction Paper
    • Markers
    • Hole Punch
    • Ribbon

I imagine my oldest writing each coupon out and both my children thinking of wonderful things they would like to do for me.  But if that’s too much, there is always this super adorable free printable I found on Pinterest from I Should be Mopping the Floor.

3.  Journal Card

What you need:

    • Journal (you can even find one at the $1 store!)
    • Markers, stickers, crayons…

Mother's Day Journal Card

Love this idea!  My sister, Nikol, made one for her husband for Father’s Day years ago and I think it’s brilliant.  Instead of all those cards that just stack up and have no real place to go, create a journal and have your children write, draw, sticker, and color a page or two each year!  What a great way to keep all those memories in one place that you can open and actually watch them grow.  I love this idea so much and feel robbed that I did not have it for the last 7 years of my son’s life!  And how easy!!!

4.  “I Love You This Much!”

A little spin on a Pinterest idea.  I chose ribbon instead of paper to make cutting the length of their arms easier on my husband.

I love you this much! Mother's Day Craft

What you need:

    • Construction Paper
    • Markers
    • Scissors
    • Tape
    • String or Ribbon

Directions:

    • Outline hand on construction paper– twice.
    • Cut out hands.
    • Cut string or ribbon at child’s stretched arms length.
    • Write “I love you” on first hand, “This Much!” on second hand.
    • Tape ribbon end to each hand.

5.  Printable Mother’s Day Card

Okay, so if all the above Mother’s Day Crafts still sound too much for your un-crafty husband I promise he can do this one!

What you need:

    • A computer to print the card.
    • Paint, crayons, or markers.

Here is a link to a printable Mother’s Day Card.

Hope this helps your hubby make that memorable, adorable, thoughtful Mother’s Day craft… that YOU don’t have to actually make 😉
